We are an award winning aged care facility in Maclean who are seeking highly motivated and passionate people to join our team.
Applications are being sought for the following positions:
Clinical Nurse Educator (Part time)
Works closely with Facility Manager / Clinical Care Manager; The Nurse Educator provides specialist advice to the Clinical Care Manager
(CCM), develops resources to provide high standards of training, assisting the CCM. The clinical nurse educator may seek external
providers where to recommend specialised performance based clinical assessment and learning activities to upskill individual Registered,
Enrolled Nurses and care staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Education & Training
- Design, deliver and evaluate internal evidence-based education programs to RNs, ENs, and care staff
- Mentor and support staff in their clinical practice, including inducting new employees around Mareeba clinical way

Collaborate with compliance officer with training needs and contribute to annual clinical training plans (e.g: infection control,
medication management, dementia care) and ad hoc clinical upskilling

Promote best practice in dementia care, palliative care, manual handling, infection control, and medication management requirements
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and evidence-based practice Regulatory Compliance

Ensure education programs align with the Aged Care Quality Standards, new Aged Care Act (2024), and other legislative and accreditation
- Maintain accurate training records and assist with audit and accreditation processes Collaboration & Communication
- Work collaboratively with Facility Manager, CCM, Quality Compliance, staff and external educators.
- Communicate effectively with staff at all levels and promote inter-professional learning
- Engage with residents and families to support education on clinical care topics when appropriate
Key Selection Criteria Essential:
- Registered or Enrolled Nurse with current AHPRA registration
- Demonstrated experience in aged care or related healthcare field
- Strong interpersonal communication, organisational and coaching skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Mareeba’s learning management systems Desirable:
- Knowledge of dementia-specific care models and palliative care best practices

Certificate IV on Training & Assessment (postgraduate qualifications in education or related field) is desirable – or working towards
obtaining one Personal Attributes

Registered & Enrolled Nurses:
We are looking for part-time Registered & Enrolled Nurses to work morning or afternoon shifts. This opportunity requires
flexibility within your shifts and your focus will be recognising resident needs and assisting them with services that enrich their daily
living. In order to ensure that residents' individual care plan requirements are met, you will also provide comprehensive guidance to
nursing and care staff. The care you provide will have a lasting positive impact on our residents and their families.
Within your varied day, you will:

Develop and review care plans based on assessment findings of individual client needs, ensuring that care strategies are based on evidence.

Evaluate the effectiveness of care strategies in consultation with client, their representatives and other members of the care team.
- Maintain client documentation in accordance with electronic documentation and organisational and legislative requirements.
- Liaise and collaborate with internal/external service providers in the provision of services.

You are a dedicated clinician who can effectively communicate at all levels enabling you to achieve best nursing practices. Understanding

Your experience and qualifications for the role should include:
- A current AHPRA registration as a Registered or Enrolled Nurse.
- Some residential aged care experience.
- The ability to problem-solve using best practice methods and have demonstrated clinical knowledge.
- High level of professional written and verbal communication.
- Thorough understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards.
- NDIS Screening Check, or ability to obtain.

About You

in engaging in meaningful social interactions to promote emotional well-being. Ideally you will have:
- Certificate III or IV in Aged Care or Individual Support (Qualified Applicants)
- Experience in aged care or a genuine passion for working with the elderly
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to providing care
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team

Kitchen Assistant Position
Rotating Roster Monday til Sunday 2:30pm - 7:30pm
Key Responsibilities:

Food Preparation: Assisting with the preparation of ingredients, washing vegetables, and organizing food supplies.
-
Meal Service: Helping serve meals to residents, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and properly
plated.
-
Cleaning: Washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, as well as keeping the kitchen tidy and sanitized.

Compliance: Adhering to food safety regulations, ensuring hygiene standards are met, and helping maintain health
and safety practices in the kitchen.

Communication: Working closely with kitchen staff and care staff to meet dietary needs and preferences of
residents.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Experience: While formal qualifications may not be necessary, prior experience in food preparation or working in a
kitchen environment is beneficial.
- Food Handling Certification: A basic food safety certificate (desirable but not essential)

Communication Skills: Ability to work well with a team and communicate clearly with both kitchen and care staff.
- Patience & Empathy: A caring attitude when interacting with elderly residents.
