Mareeba has a comprehensive orientation program that is designed to familiarise you with your new role and equip you with the skills and knowledge to perform your role competently. Flexible shifts, including casual shifts are available to suit your lifestyle needs.

Training and development

We encourage opportunities for post graduate study and career development and have initiated a number of post graduate courses under the guidance of our highly-qualified Nurse Educator. We continue to support colleagues who have done both Endorsed Nurse training and completed degrees as Registered Nurses.

At Mareeba, we have a strong value in education and believe it opens up opportunities and choice, and we will support you in your career decisions as well as provide you with in-house specialist training relevant to your career. We also assist financially those staff members pursuing further education, provided a number of criteria are met.

You will need to provide the following documentation with your Employment Application:

  • A copy of a clear, current police check or NDIS Worker Check (NDISWC) issued within the last 3 years
  • Copy of Photo ID i.e Drivers Licence
  • Copy of a resume
