On Thursday 30th August Mareeba held a pre Father’s Day morning tea, combined with a beautiful cake and entertainment.
In the afternoon, our gentleman residents enjoyed a good old glass or two of Mareeba’s Homebrew, and munching on hot sausage rolls and meat pies, whilst sitting back watching yet more live entertainment.
Mareeba’s Art & Photography Expo was a huge success, with many residents, relatives and visitors coming to have a look.
Paintings, photos and craft items on display was a contribution from a number of Mareeba’s residents and staff.
The main volume of paintings on display were from a Mr Noel Rose. Noel and his wife Margaret have been residents here at Mareeba for some
years. When Margaret could no longer continue to paint, Noel continued her passion and started to paint for her. What a truly beautiful
thing to do….
Residents and staff from Mareeba Aged Care in Maclean welcomed in Spring by joining the thousands of other Australians supporting Daffodil Day to raise funds for the Cancer Council.
Mareeba Aged Care in Maclean has launched the Mareeba Men’s Group, which is already proving popular with male residents.
