Spring has sprung

Posted 16 Sep '21

Residents and staff from Mareeba Aged Care in Maclean welcomed in Spring by joining the thousands of other Australians supporting Daffodil Day to raise funds for the Cancer Council.

The Cancer Council’s most iconic, annual fundraising campaign funds life-saving research and creates change in the lives of people impacted by the disease.

On the day, Mareeba’s staff and residents raised funds, dressed in yellow and enjoyed a special morning tea with lucky door prizes all round.

Mareeba’s Clinical Care Manager, Leanne Hancock said, “Our residents love to continue to be engaged in the community and contribute to good causes. And along the way we love to have some fun.”
